Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS) initiated the Faculty Training Workshop Series on January 5, featuring specialized lectures tailored for faculty members. The objective is to enhance a collective understanding of theology, elevate academic standards, and streamline preparations for future courses.
Dr. Miriam Lee, a seasoned scholar with a Ph.D. in Theology from Yonsei University, commenced the inaugural session by delving into the theme of ‘Concerning Theology.’ Dr. Lee provided a succinct yet comprehensive overview of theology, covering its inception, history, evolution, present realities, and prospects.
The session smoothly transitioned into an engaging Q&A, enabling faculty members to participate in open discussions on various theological topics.
Bethany Park, instructor of practical theology, emphasized the importance of taking a respite from the demands of her academic schedule and responsibilities to immerse herself in the historical flow and overarching trends of theology.
The Faculty Training Workshop Series is an ongoing initiative, taking place every Friday throughout January. Both live and recorded sessions will be accessible online. OTCS remains dedicated to fostering a dynamic environment of intellectual growth and collaboration, and this workshop serves as a testament to its ongoing commitment to excellence in theological education.
